Last week, the Goodyears hosted "Santa on the Roof"! This is an old tradition celebrated by Jessica's family for many years. Now that Jess and Jack live back in the home where Jessica grew up, she has re-birthed the tradition...and it is so much fun! Jessica and her sister, Kristin, worked hard to plan and organize this event. They had approximately 80 kids present, along with parents! Here's how it goes...the kids and parents gather in the Goodyear front yard. They sing carols, and if they sing loud enough, Santa hears them!! Suddenly, Santa appears on the rooftop and passes out (ie tosses) treats off the roof to all the kiddos! Then, Santa comes down for a photo opp with the kids! We had such a great time! However, I was without an escort this year...so Santa was my date!! :) Look closely at Santa! :)

oh my goodness - i am so glad you posted these pics. i was still very concerned about how this whole doug-on-the-rooftop-thing went down. kidding, good job, doug!! ;)
