Thank You!

Just a note of thanks to all of you who were praying for me as I officiated my cousin's funeral yesterday. It seemed to go pretty well, and it felt like a meaningful time for our family. Please continue to keep my aunt Ann and uncle Loyd in your prayers, as well as my cousin's wife, Becki. This has been an incredibly difficult time for all of them. I appreciate all of the encouragement I've received from you. Thank you!
On another note, one of my sweetest patients died over the weekend. I will be officiating her funeral sometime this week or next. Your prayers for that would be appreciated as well. Thanks!

An update...

Yes, this is the THIRD post I have added this evening. Can you tell I got a little glued to the computer? It occurred to me, though, that I wanted to give a little update about our car accident. Most of you know that last weekend, Doug and I had a car accident on I-30. While driving in the rain, our car hydro-planed, did a 180, and crashed into the guard rail. Thankfully we were not hurt at all! Our car, however, was not so lucky. But, cars can be fixed! And ours will be all fixed...in about three weeks! Ugggggh...
Anywho, we received the estimate today...a whopping $8,000+ in damages (thank the Lord for car insurance), all of which they say are "body" damages, not internal stuff. Here's hoping! We were pretty surprised that they didn't total out the car. So, for now, Doug and I are doing the morning commute together. I must say that this has been a fun experience for us. It's nice to get to talk in the morning on the way to work, and then visit on the way home as well. It's working out okay so far. He drives us to his office in his car, then I take the car and return to pick him up at the end of the day. So, we'll see if this is still "fun" in three weeks! :) If nothing else, it will remind us that we're blessed to have two cars...and even more blessed to have our lives!

Special Visitors!

We have some very special visitors here this week!! Our sweet nieces and nephews are here for a visit while their Mom and Dad attend a special conference in Seattle, WA. The kids are staying with Doug's Mom, "Grandy", but we will get the pleasure of enjoying them too! They have all grown about a foot since we saw them at our wedding in May! It is always so much fun when we get to see them! We are blessed beyond measure to have them and our other precious nephew, Brock! Having them keeps me from demanding that "someone" let me try to have a baby right this minute! :) Although, tonight both Corinne and Nathan were talking about our future kids. Nathan said, "Aunt Holly, when you and Uncle Doug have kids, I really wannna meet 'em!" Corinne said, "Hey Aunt Holly, when are you going to have a baby? What are you gonna call it? Maybe Claire or Madison?" So funny and cute!! She then informed me that when I'm going to have a baby, I will get big and fat, and then I'll know it's time for the baby to come! Great.
