Our little house on Bois D Arc has seen a few more improvements over the last few months. As you enter our house, this room is on the left. It's a living/dining room combo that we we plan to use as a dining and someday play area combo. This isn't a complete "before picture" because you can't see the lovely stained lace curtains that were once on the windows or the full magnitude of the beautiful pink shag carpet. But you get the idea...
I just have to brag on my husband! He is becoming such a wonderful project manager of all things fix-it-up! He has so much patience, and the willingness to see a project through all the way to end. I'm always nagging him, "Perfection is the enemy of done!!". But without his perfection, we would have alot of really cruddy looking things going on around our house. So very thankful for him!!
It's questionable why anyone ever turns me loose with a paint roller given my absolute LACK of perfection and desire to be DONE! That can make for some pretty messy situations!
This is a view from the dining/living room into the entry hall. The walls were a creamy yellowish color, which wasn't terrible, but we wanted a change.
It's now a chocolate brown color. I think it was actually called Coconut Shell. Pretty accurate...
Again with the details! This guy will take 8 years to make sure that the line is perfect and that no paint is on the ceiling. You can definitely tell the spots in our house whereI was in charge, and the ones where he was in charge!
This is the dining/living room combo again showing our new shutters. We had them put across the front of the house, and we love them!!! Such a nice addition!
Painting doors...a less detail-oriented project that's right up my alley!
Mr. Fix-it changed out the light fixture in the entryway.
The entry hall finished product (for now). I may change a few things in here as far as furnishings, but this is it for now.
The living/dining room is still in progress. This week, we had wood floors installed, but the room is in chaos right now, so I'll have to put a picture up when it's complete!
